Charlene “Tiny” Maxfield of Bothell, Washington died Friday, May 3 at the age of 97. She was a resident at Riverside East for the past 5 years.
Charlene was born in Sioux City, Iowa to John P. and Julie Linsley. She graduated from East High School in 1944, where she met her husband, Richard Maxfield. They were married November 9, 1946 and celebrated 55 years together until his passing in July 2001. After retiring, they moved to Bothell in 1987 to be close to their children and grandchildren.
She enjoyed fishing, golfing , as well as reading, and crossword puzzles. Tiny volunteered at the Bothell Senior Center from 2002 – 2019, and quilted with the First Lutheran Quilters women’s group from 2002 – 2019.
Charlene is preceded in death by her husband, her parents; three brothers, Oscar, Robert, and John Linsley; three sisters, Lillian Ackerman, Gladys Malinoski, and Margaret Fitzgerald; and great grandson, Jameson Mott.
She is survived by her daughter Chris Maxfield, her son and daughter-in-law Bryan and Marsha Maxfield; as well as her four grandchildren, Brandon Maxfield, Laura Burnett, Courtney Mott, Kimberly Wands; as well as six great grandchildren, Nolan and Luke Maxfield, Eilley and Aspen Burnett, and Tanner and Emmeline Mott.
