UPDATE: All southbound I-405 lanes have reopened as of 1:15 p.m.
The Washington State Department of Transportation and the Washington State Patrol are warning commuters that all southbound lanes of I-450 are blocked due to serious injury collision at Northeast 124th Street in Kirkland.
Three vehicles were invloved in a rearend collision with one person in critical condition and one person in serious condition. Overall, three people were transported to area hospitals.

The WSDOT Twitter feed states that it will be a “lengthy closure.” The backup is currently to SR 522 in Bothell.
The Express Toll Lanes have been opened to all commuters and they are the only lanes not currently blocked by the accident or emergency response.
WSDOT has also opened the southbound express lanes on I-5 in Seattle to help alleviate the congestion from Snohomish County commuters.
