The blotter feature is both a description of a small selection of police incidents and a statistical roundup of all calls to the King County Sheriff’s Office that are dispatched to on-duty police officers. The King County Sheriff’s Office blotter is not intended to be representative of all police calls originating in Kenmore.
Between Dec. 31 and Jan. 7, there were three thefts, one burglary, three assaults, one incident involving illegal drugs, one incident involving resisting arrest and one warrant served.
Jan. 1
Resisting arrest: 10:06 p.m., 6800 block of NE Bothell Way; A man driving his parents’ vehicle resisted arrest and struck a Sheriff’s deputy with the vehicle while fleeing. The deputy was not injured. The man also eluded Washington State Patrol on Dec. 28, 2016.
Jan. 2
Larceny: 10:30 a.m., 6500 block of NE 191st St.; Unknown suspects stole a motorized white reindeer lawn ornament from the front yard of a Kenmore home.
Vandalism: 11:35 a.m., 19100 block of 71st Ave. NE; Unknown suspects threw a rock through a glass window and broke a wooden wall on the playground at Kenmore Elementary.
Burglary: 7:02 p.m., 19500 block of 61st Ave. NE; An unknown suspect or suspects entered and ransacked a home while the victim was out of town.
Jan. 3
Threats: 15500 block of Simonds Road NE; A teacher at Inglemoor High School made a comment to an assistant principal about putting a hit on his ex-wife. There were no credible means of carrying out the plan, according to the police report, which was taken for information purposes only.
Jan. 4
Suspicious: 9:09 p.m., 14400 block of Juanita Drive NE; A vehicle belonging to a career armed-criminal was seen near St. Edwards Park after hours.
Assault: 10:35 a.m., 15500 block of Simonds Road NE; Two Inglemoor High School students were involved in a fight, witnessed by the school resource officer. One of the students had threatened to kill the other over social media.
Traffic: 3:56 p.m., 7700 block of NE Bothell Way; A man was cited for driving with a suspended or revoked license.
Jan. 5
Larceny: 11:54 a.m., 6100 block of NE 175th St.; A woman parked her car at Tracy Owen Park while doing an appraisal at a nearby condo. While unattended, the passenger side window was smashed and the woman’s purse stolen.
Assault: 9:57 p.m., 7800 block of NE Bothell Way; A woman was booked into SCORE for 4th-degree domestic violence assault after striking her boyfriend in the ear, causing it to bleed. The situation occurred in the Grocery Outlet parking lot, and was called in by a passerby.
