Weekend I-405 lane and ramp closures in Bellevue and Kirkland

Nighttime and early morning drivers traveling on Interstate 405 in the Bellevue and Kirkland areas should prepare for possible delays this weekend.

Contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will close the following lanes and ramps overnight Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday, Aug. 20

· The northbound I-405 off-ramp to westbound SR 520 will be closed from midnight to 7 a.m.

· The Northeast 70th Place on-ramp to southbound I-405 will be closed from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.

· The Northeast 70th Place on-ramp to southbound I-405 will be closed from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.

· The northbound I-405 off-ramp to Northeast 160th Street will be closed from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.

· One right lane of southbound I-405 between Northeast 70th Place and SR 520 will be closed from 8 p.m. to 9 a.m.

· One right lane of southbound I-405 between Northeast 124th Street and Northeast 116th Street will be closed from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m.

Sunday, Aug. 21

· The northbound I-405 off-ramp to Northeast 6th Street will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

· The Northeast 6th Street on-ramp to northbound I-405 will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

· Up to four left lanes for northbound I-405 between Northeast 6th Street and Northeast 70th Place will be closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

These closures are needed to complete final construction work for the I-405 Bellevue to Lynnwood Widening and Express Toll Lanes project.

This work is weather dependent and is subject to change. Signed detour routes will be displayed for the ramp closures.
