Kenmore resident Richard Owen will offer vegetable gardening classes throughout 2014 at his home. The classes will run from 1-2 p.m. every Saturday.

Owen, a retired architect and author of Dad’s Home Cooking; Traditional Recipes for Preparing Healthy Family Meals (Amazon), will be conducting these classes. The one- to two-hour classes will be at Owen’s residence in the Arrowhead area, 15542 62nd Ave. NE. The classes will have an emphasis on spending time in the garden, weather permitting. The class size is limited to eight individuals. A second session may be added if there is interest. Individual session cost is $10 or a maximum of $200 for all 30 sessions.
