The Bothell Blotter is a description of a small selection of police incidents all calls to the Northshore area that are dispatched to on-duty officers.
March 31
A reporting person found mail lying in the roadway near E. Riverside Drive. The mail was from a nearby apartment complex with non-locking mailboxes.
A victim reported that someone had stolen his wallet and used his debit card at a restaurant.
April 1
A person reported that their son’s glasses were broken on the school bus. The incident is actively being investigated as assault.
A victim suspected that a carpet cleaner took her purse while they were cleaning the residence, located near 224th Street Southwest. According to the victim, she had placed the purse in the closet and, later, found that it had been removed. The cleaning company will reimburse for the cost of the purse, at $70 in value.
April 2
An officer viewed a vehicle with a defective light near Woodinville Drive, however the subject eluded police. The case is still under active investigation.
A suspect shattered three windows on a victims vehicle, located near 112th Avenue Northeast. Miscellaneous tools, speakers and clothing were taken, with an approximate value of $900.
A person’s vehicle was broken into at a park, located near West Riverside Drive. A purse and other items were taken, an approximate $300 in value. Credit cards have also been used fraudulently.
A loss prevention person at a store on SR 527 reported a theft. A blender and vacuum were placed in the cart, an approximate $260 in value. The loss prevention person contacted the suspect, who then took of in their vehicle. The case has been referred to an outside agency.
A death investigation was initiated near 527 and is still under active investigation.
A person reported a theft from a work van near 23rd Avenue Northeast. Tools, with an approximate value of $1,000, were taken from the van. Possible suspects are being investigated.

April 3
A remote building was broken into near Brickyard Road. Employees found two broken windows on the south side of the building. Inside, there was minor damage and items were rummaged through, though nothing was taken.
A burglary occurred at an apartment complex on Northeast Bothell Way. A door had been pried open and a laptop and computer bag were stolen from a desk. Police are currently reviewing security footage and have a possible suspect.
Officers were dispatched to an attempted commercial burglary near 8th Avenue Southeast. Someone had tried to pry the front door of the business open. The door was damaged, but nothing was taken. The owner wanted the incident documented.
A victim residing near 3rd Drive Southeast found that someone else had already used their social security number when the victim had attempted to file their tax return. The IRS wanted the victim to file a police report.
Two subjects involved with a vehicle got into an argument. One person accused the other of stealing cigarettes and an assault ensued. The vehicle that was located nearby had a window smashed out and another one had damage done during the assault. Witnesses told suspects that were involved in the fight that police were called and the suspects left the scene. One victim reported a laptop was taken from the vehicle. A photograph of the suspected person’s license plate was taken, however it cannot be proven that the suspects in the assault were the ones who took the laptop.
An unknown female stole several items, including approximately $200 in yarn, from a store along Northeast Bothell Way. The suspect is 5-foot-5, 160 pounds and is in her mid 20s or 30s.
April 4
A person reported being the victim of an online scam where she lost approximately $600. The victim applied through an internet loan company. Later on, someone called her stating she needed to send money for the various parts of the application process. When they called requesting money a third time she became suspicious and called police.
A business reported that a male and female stole items from the store, located on 120th Avenue Northeast. An employee went and got a bunch of items for sale that had been locked up, then the suspects went to the checkout, grabbed the bag of items and ran out of the store. The total value of stolen items is $1,728.
April 5
A victim reported that their residence near 19th Avenue Southeast, had been entered and ransacked. The suspect seems to have entered through an open bedroom window and took approximately $237 in valued items.
April 6
A victim reported that their unlocked vehicle, located near Northeast 166th Street, had been ransacked and approximately $2,000 in HAM radio equipment was taken.
A person came home to find their house, near 91st Place Northeast, had been broken into. Someone had used a screwdriver to let themselves in and stole computer items and jewelry, with an approximate value of $2,100.
A person reported medications had been stolen. The victim had just moved and used a moving company to do so.
