Kenmore hires new public-works operations manager
The city of Kenmore has appointed Jennifer Gordon as its new public-works operations manager with a start date of Aug. 18.
Gordon previously served as the public-works supervisor for the past two years at the city of Mill Creek.
Prior to Mill Creek, she served four years as the grounds manager for Bellevue Community College and two years as lead gardener for the University of Washington, Bothell campus.
“Staff was impressed with Jennifer’s broad background and the depth of her involvement in the day-to-day operations,” said Kenmore City Manager Steve Anderson. “We are genuinely excited that she has chosen to join our organization.”
As public-works operations manager, Gordon’s duties will include overseeing street and park maintenance, traffic, surface water, right of way and city facilities in cooperation with neighboring agencies and a variety of public and private contracts.
