Tessera Center for Lifelong Learning in Bothell held its grand opening on July 27 in the former American Legion building at 19213 Bothell Way N.E.
More than 150 community members attended the event, which included an official welcome to Bothell and ribbon cutting with Bothell Mayor Mark Lamb, Sen. Rosemary McAuliffe, Rep. Luis Moscoso and members of the Greater Bothell Chamber of Commerce.
More than $700,000 was raised over the weekend to support Tessera and its members through the 9th annual Alyssa Burnett Unspoken Angel Golf Invitational.
Over the past several years, Tessera has been actively planning and fund-raising to reach its goal of creating a lifelong learning center for young adults with autism and other developmental disabilities.
