Christina Taylor of Bothell will star in Bellevue Community College’s production of the musical “Pippin” July 24-26.
Taylor, a home-schooled high-school student who is simultaneously attending Bellevue Community College, will play Fastrada, the devious wife of the emperor Charlemagne, Pippin’s father.
“Pippin” is the story of a young man who encounters war, politics, revolution, sex, drugs and parenthood on his path to find meaning in his life.
The winner of several Tony Awards in its 1973 Broadway debut, “Pippin” offers music and lyrics by Stephen Shwartz.
“Pippin” is directed by Bellevue Community College drama instructor and program chair Tammis Doyle, with choreography by Melissa Edwards.
