Saturday, July 29

Trespass/Malicious Mischief: A suspect trespassed on to their neighbors property on the 15500 block of 93rd Court Northeast and began throwing retaining wall blocks sown the hillside. The victim recorded the suspect in the act with a wireless camera. An officer confronted the suspect, who is a neighbor, about the damage and the suspect apologized, saying they did it because they thought the victim was watching them. The suspect offered to pay for the damages out of court but the victims decided to pursue charges.

Friday, July 28

Theft: Unknown suspects gained access to the Emmanuel Presbyterian Church and stole two large speakers and a boom microphone valued together at $1,100. There were no signs of forced entry, only a bible propping open an exterior door.

Vehicle Prowling: Unknown suspects attempted to pry open the windows of a work van parked on the 12700 block of Northeast 199th St. The suspects did not gain entry to the van as they made rumbling noises that awoke the victim.

Thursday, July 27

Theft: An unknown suspect stole a wallet and flip phone out the 73-year-old victim’s shopping cart at the Bothell Fred Meyer. The wallet contained a temporary license, more than $200 in cash and other cards. Fred Meyer loss prevention said they were unable to recover video footage to help identify the suspect.

Wednesday, July 26

Fraud: An unknown suspect scammed $500 from a Bothell victim by claiming the victim would be arrested if they did not pay the money.

Assault: An unnamed suspect verbally assaulted his wife after she returned from a vacation. The suspect reportedly yelled at the victim about money and did not get physical, but the suspect has been arrested for domestic violence in the passed and has been physical with the victim numerous times in the past. The officer said they were worried for the victim’s safety and provided her with information and resource options to protect herself since things seemed to be escalating. The officer was unable to contact the suspect for his side of the story.
