The King County Sheriff’s blotter feature is both a description of a small selection of police incidents and a statistical round-up of all calls to the Northshore area that are dispatched to on-duty police officers. This police blotter is not intended to be representative of all police calls originating in the Northshore area.
Nov. 14
An owner of a vehicle reported the registration was stolen near the 600 block of NE Bothell Way.
Nov. 15
Students of Inglemoor High School were reported to have used counterfeit cash they received from a fellow student at a local Woodinville store, where they exchanged the fake currency for real money.
A second incident involving a different student using counterfeit $20 bills occurred at Inglemoor High School. This time a student attempted to purchase lunch at the school cafeteria.
A suspect was booked into the South Correctional Entity (SCORE) and the vehicle impounded after the driver was found to have a misdemeanor warrant for failure to transfer the title, and was driving with a revoked license.
A juvenile with mental complaints ran away from home and was found 1.3 miles away from the 800 block of NE 158th St.
One parent near the 1500 block of 84th Avenue NE was concerned after receiving disturbing emails and text messages from anther parent. Police were called on this civil issue.
Nov. 18
A suspect near the 1500 block of 76th Place NE was found to be in possession of more than half a gram of heroin. The controlled substance was confiscated and the suspect released at the scene.
A drunk person was found passed out near Safeway at 6850 NE Bothell Way in 28 degree weather. The person blew a .283 Preliminary Breath Test (PBT) and was sent to EvergreenHealth hospital via ambulance.
When a citizen mailed a Dell Venue tablet out from the Pony Express offices in Kenmore, he expected the package to reach its destination, however there was no tablet in the box when Dell received the package.
A 91-year-old female was found dead in her residence at Spring Estates. The woman had a Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) order and it is believed she died of natural causes.
A suspect was arrested along Northeast Bothell Way for driving with a revoked license and operating a vehicle without the ignition interlocking device.
Officers conducted a welfare check at the 700 block of NE 181st Street when a call came in abut a possible suicide. Officers used forced entry to gain access to the residence, but found the person in a heavy sleep.
Officers followed up on issues regarding forged prescription use at the Safeway on Northeast Bothell Way. Nothing immediate to report.
Nov. 19
A suspect was booked into King County Jail (KCJ) under multiple criminal warrants. The arrest happened at the 7300 block of NE Bothell Way.
Police were called to The Timbers at the 1800 block of 68t Avenue NE, after a verbal argument between two dating people turned violent. As the victim was getting ready in the morning, the suspect came into the bathroom, where the argument continued. After pushing the victim into the bathroom wall, the suspect then tore the towel rack from the wall and struck the victim in the foot. The victim sought help outside the apartment and police arrested the suspect.
An abandoned vehicle was found at the 18100 block of 80th Avenue NE. Not only did the vehicle not have a registered license plate, but the temporary plate was registered to a different vehicle and the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) was not found to be registered in Washington State.
A suspect was pulled over at the 6800 block of NE Bothell Way. During the traffic stop, officers found the driver had a revoked license. The suspect was released at the scene.
Nov. 20
A resident was awoken at 3 a.m. by the sound of his car alarm going off. Upon inspection, the victim noticed that his passenger window had been smashed in and many items stolen from the inside of the vehicle. Less than $250 worth of goods were taken from the car.
Officers responded to an incident at St. Edwards Park where property and a transient camp had been found. At the scene, officers confiscated a bag of male and female jewelry, a bag of hypodermic needles, and a Google Nexus Tablet.
School nurses notified authorities after a 10 year-old female came into school with bruising. An investigation found that the victim had been disciplined by her step-father. No arrests were made, the investigation has concluded.
Upon returning to his Post Office owned mailbox cluster, a resident noticed that 12 mailboxes were standing open from the post office access door. The door was pried open but it is unknown if any mail was stolen.
Nov. 21
A person asking for a ride near the Safeway on Northeast Bothell Way was punched in the face by the passenger of the vehicle. The person requesting the ride became confrontational when told ‘no’ by the driver and passenger of the vehicle.
Nov. 22
An unknown suspect used a sharp key- or knife-like object to leave deep scratches over the entirety of a vehicle, as well as leaving several dents.
Nov. 23
A victim was left with bruised wrists and an injured shoulder after an assault at the 2000 block of 68th Court NE. The suspect was taken into custody and sent to SCORE jail.
A smash and grab burglary occurred in the 1800 block of 81st Avenue NE. The window was smashed and the unknown assailants reached in to steal items from the car.
The front license plate was stolen from a vehicle while the owner was inside the Safeway on Northeast Bothell Way. The victim is assisting police with prosecution of the suspect.
An unknown assailant took items out of a car parked in the victims driveway. The victim was sure that the doors were locked and the alarm on. It is unknown how the suspect gained access.
A suspect was arrested for a DUI near the 6300 block of NE Bothell Way.
Nov. 24
Officers responded to the parking lot at Lutheran Christian Church on 16348 Juanita Drive NE for noise complaints. The suspect was arrested at the scene for misdemeanor DUI warrant was booked into King County Jail.
A resident near the 600 block of NE 196th Street complained to authorities about commuters speeding through the neighborhood in the afternoon.
A person was found passed out in the lobby area of the Jiffy Lube on 7204 NE Bothell Way. The subject was so drunk that no one could wake them, so Jiffy Lube employees called authorities.
