According the the City of Kenmore’s SR522 Newsletter, the construction team completed the night work on 61st Avenue NE this week.

The city thanks citizens for their patience during the night closure. The team will now continue night work on SR 522 for approximately three weeks during weeknights.

The construction team will also continue work on the north side of SR 522 during the day, including trenching to install utilities, installing curb & gutter, regrading in preparation for new sidewalks, installing the retaining wall between 62nd and 63rd Ave NE and continuing utility work on 62nd Ave NE.

Drivers can expect all work zones to continue construction between the daytime hours of 7 a.m. To 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and night work between the hours of 7 p.m. and 5 a.m., Monday through Thursday.

During construction hours, some lanes may be shifted and the center lane may be closed. When needed, uniformed officers may direct traffic.

The City of Kenmore also reached out to residences on 181st Ave NE between 61st Ave NE and 65th Ave NE to let them know what to expect during the night work.
