The University of Washington Bothell has selected P.K. Sen, Ph.D. to receive the Distinguished Research, Scholarship and Creative Activity award.
Sen, a professor in UW Bothell’s School of Business, joined the faculty in 2012. Widely recognized for his distinguished record of research over his academic career, Dr. Sen continues to maintain an active research profile, with nine conference presentations of his work since coming to UW Bothell. His research presence has contributed to the rise of the school’s ranking in the field of accounting. Sen is the author of 19 articles in peer-reviewed journals, as well as a book chapter.
With a deep interest in mentoring junior scholars, Dr. Sen has acted as the doctoral colloquium coordinator for the Asian Academic Accounting Association for the last five years. His emphasis on mentoring, collaboration and co-authorship in research is reflected in his support for colleagues at UW Bothell. Since his arrival, he has initiated three collaborative efforts with junior colleagues in the School of Business, which have resulted in three presentations at prestigious conferences.
