• Megan Fitzgerald and Ashley Young of Kenmore recently graduated from the University of Portland with bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and global business, respectively.
• Miranda J. Belcher was awarded a $500 School of Hospitality Business Management Scholarship from Washington State University. The award was given based on involvement in the school and academics.
Belcher graduated from Bothell High in 2007 and earned her associate’s degree from Cascadia Community College. She plans to graduate from WSU in 2011 with her degree in hospitality business management.
• Elizabeth M. Van Hollebeke of Bothell was awarded a $900 J. Horace Nunemaker Memorial Scholarship from Washington State University. The award is given to students based on their ability to build their life toward making a contribution for the betterment of the world in which they live.
Van Hollebeke graduated from Archbishop Murphy High in 2006 and expects to graduate from WSU in 2010 with her degree in speech and hearing sciences. She is a member of the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association and has been on the President’s Honor Roll and served on the Stevens Residence Hall government.
• Marshall Schott, a 1999 Inglemoor High graduate, was recently awarded a doctor of philosophy in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Fresno, Calif. Dr. Schott has accepted the position of clinical psychologist at the Central California Women’s Facility.
• Allison Trowbridge of Kenmore received a bachelor of arts in environmental studies and arts and letters with an emphasis in writing and literature May 8 from Prescott College in Arizona.
• Sandra Huber of Bothell has graduated from the Parent Coaching Institute (PCI) of Bellevue. Graduates work with parents individually using a new model and approach customized to help each parent facing their toughest parenting challenges.
