Drug related

A youth, 17, was arrested for using inhalants and obstructing a police officer. The suspect was stopped in the 22900 block of State Route 527.

Feb. 7

Theft from vehicle

Yet another catalytic converter was stolen from a car parked in the lot of an unidentified business in the 22200 block of 30th Drive Southeast. Value of the theft was given as $600.

Theft

Reports lacked a few details, but police said someone posing as an employee for a vending-machine firm ended up making off with a vending machine from a company in the 22900 block of SR 527.

Residential burglary

Persons unknown left with a chain saw and various other tools after breaking into a home in the 18400 block of 92nd Avenue Northeast. The missing items were valued at $1,300. The thieves gained entry by breaking in a door.

Car theft

A 1994 Honda Accord disappeared from the lot of an apartment complex in the 12600 block of Northeast 180th Street. Valued at $6,000, the car has not been recovered.

Car theft

A 1996 Honda Prelude was taken from the lot of an apartment complex in the 23100 block of Fitzgerald Road. Valued at $2,500, the vehicle has not been recovered.

Theft

Someone swiped an 18-speed Schwinn mountain bike from outside an unidentified business in the 22800 block of SR 527. The bike was valued at about $300.

Feb. 3

Car theft

A 1983 Datsun pick-up truck was stolen, valued at $4,500. The truck was taken from the lot of an apartment complex in the 9500 block of Northeast 180th Street. The vehicle has not been recovered.

Burglary

A watch, miscellaneous jewelry and other items — total value about $350 — were taken after persons unknown broke into a hotel room in the 22100 block of 17th Avenue Southeast. Reports contained no further details.

Feb. 10

Residential burglary

Public reports were sketchy, but said residents of a house in the 16000 block of 80th Place Northeast came home to find two burglars prowling through their belongings. The suspects fled the scene in a dark gray Honda or Accura with an Idaho license plate that read something similar to “26141.”

Feb. 5

Arson

Police said unknown suspects started what reports described as a “campfire” in a breezeway at Moorlands Elementary School. No injuries or damage were reported. The incident took place over the weekend, so presumably no children were present at the school.

Feb. 4

Residential burglary

Public reports didn’t say what was taken, but did say a suspect entered a residential apartment through a partially open window.

The incident took place at a complex in the 18000 block of 68th Avenue Northeast.
