• Friendly Earth Non-Profit Recycling Organization will be holding a free electronics recycling event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 15 at the Eastlake Christian Community Church in Bothell (3301 Monte Villa Parkway).
They will have collection booths set up in the church parking lot accepting donations of electronics, appliances and scrap metals. Some examples would be old computers and parts, hair dryers, printers, refrigerators, washers and dryers, cords, cables, cell phones, gaming systems, televisions, radios, cars and bikes. They will also be accepting large appliances.
Their goal is to reuse, recycle, refurbish and salvage everything to help sustain communities and prevent more pollution from entering the environment.
• First Lutheran Church will hold its annual Heritage Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 29 at 10207 N.E. 183rd St., Bothell.
Attendees can shop for slightly used decorator and household items, linens, books, games, antiques and small working appliances, handmade crafts, quilts, homemade baked goods and preserves. There will also be homemade lefse demonstrations, and homemade soup, rolls and pies in the café area. All proceeds will be donated to local and national charities; Thrivent Financial Services for Lutherans will provide additional matching funds.
• Bothell United Methodist Church will hold its More Goods for Good sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 5 at 18515 92nd Ave. N.E., Bothell.
Vendors will be selling items that support artists or causes around the world. Some of the items that will be sold:
• Jewelry from Cambodia
• Bracelets from Haiti
• Tote bags from the Democratic Republic of Congo
• Art from Tanzania
