The following is a press release from the Northshore School District.
Northshore schools sent 232 students to participate in the National History Day North Puget Sound Regional Competition and earned 30 invitations to the Washington State History Day competition, May 2, at Green River Community College in Auburn, Wash.
Additionally, Leota Junior High School student Sigrun Payne’s project concerning women’s rights received a Best Project Award.
Students from Sunrise Elementary School; Leota, Northshore and Timbercrest junior high schools; Northshore Networks; and Bothell and Woodinville high schools presented their historical interpretations and projects before panels of judges.
