Northshore School District’s 13th annual Backpacks for Kids school supply donation campaign will run July 13 through Aug. 3.
The school district, Woodinville Chamber Education Committee and the Northshore Kiwanis are coordinating a community-wide drive to benefit more than 850 Northshore students whose families are unable to send their children to school with necessary school supplies. NSD families in need of this resource should contact their school office.
Local businesses, civic buildings and churches have volunteered to be collection sites during the donation drive. A list of special donors and community collection sites can be found at www.nsd.org.
Northshore is currently looking for volunteers to help assemble backpacks on Aug. 10. Student community service hours are available upon request. Contact Cecilia Shumate at (425) 408-7670 or cshumate@nsd.org if you’d like to help assemble backpacks on Aug. 10 or for program information.
