A complete list of 2014 scholarships available through the Northshore Scholarship Foundation will be posted Nov. 1 to the Foundation’s website and available in the Northshore School District’s four high school counseling centers. Applications are found only online at the Foundation website. The deadline for applications is Feb. 7, 2014.

The scholarships are targeted for 2014 graduating seniors at Inglemoor, Woodinville and Bothell high schools, and at the Secondary Academy for Success (SAS), as well as students enrolled at UW Bothell and Cascadia Community College.
The Foundation awarded 73 scholarships with a total value of $159,500 during 2013.
The Northshore Wall of Honor Committee will award a $2,000 scholarship to a Northshore graduate who exemplifies the purposes and goals of the Wall of Honor program, according to the committee’s scholarship co-chairs Mace Brady and Vicki Metz.
The family of former Foundation president Rusty Young will award a $5,000 grant to a Northshore graduate excelling in Community Leadership potential. Previously, the scholarship was offered at $1,500.
The Sutherland family STEM scholarship is offered at $3,000 and is for candidates pursuing college degrees in science, technology, engineering or math.
Those seeking renewals of their scholarship have until March 31, 2014 to submit application for renewal.
A number of scholarships are school-specific as to eligibility. The program also has scholarship opportunities for graduating seniors residing within the boundaries of the Northshore School District but who may attend accredited secondary schools outside the district. The scholarship listing includes information related to criteria and eligibility requirements for each scholarship offered.
Now entering its 30th year of operation, the Foundation and its sponsoring Rotary and Kiwanis service clubs have awarded 1,572 scholarships worth $2,166,370.
