Northshore music instructor Ted Christensen to be inducted into WIAA Hall of Fame

Ted Christensen will be inducted into the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) Hall of Fame in the Fine Arts category at the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association induction ceremony on May 8 in Renton.

Ted Christensen, Northshore School District music program coordinator and Inglemoor High School instrumental music instructor, will be inducted into the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) Hall of Fame in the Fine Arts category at the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association induction ceremony on May 8 in Renton.

“Ted has builtand maintained a legacy of excellence over his 30-year tenure at Inglemoor High Schoolthat is admired throughout the northwest,” stated Inglemoor’s Orchestra Director Jim Rice, who nominated Christensen. “He is recognized as one ofour Northwest’s preeminent and successful band directors as well as a mentor to manyteachers in our profession.”

The WIAA Hall of Fame recognizes, preserves and promotes the heritage of interscholastic activities in Washington state and honors the contributions and accomplishments of individuals who are worthy of statewide recognition as examples of others to emulate.
