Northshore Family Center offers preschool for low income families

The Northshore Family Center's Center for Human Services announced free Head Start pre-school for low-income families in the Northshore area.

The Northshore Family Center’s Center for Human Services announced free Head Start pre-school for low-income families in the Northshore area.

There are a limited number of spots available for fall, so applications will be required no later than June 30. All families are encouraged to apply for the Head Start Pre-school.

Head Start Preschool includes preparation for kindergarten, meals for students, fun learning activities, home visits and conferences, parent education opportunities, and more.

Families with children between the ages of three and four, as of August 31, may qualify for the program. Eligibility requirements include being considered low-income based on federal poverty guidelines, be students returning to the program or transferring from another program, experiencing homelessness or are living in foster or kinship care.
