Lose one, win five: That’s how Kenmore’s North Lake Little League 9-10-year-old softballers ran the bases en route to a District 8 title.

In the recent tournament, Northshore/North Bothell defeated North Lake, 13-4, but then the Kenmore squad won out to grab the title. In fact, the girls avenged their early loss and defeated Northshore/North Bothell twice, 17-0 and 12-1, to finish the tourney.

Northshore/North Bothell won its first three games by a combined score of 52-17 before meeting North Lake again.

The state tournament is next up for North Lake, which will play Lewis River  at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at David Douglas Park in Vancouver.
