The Northshore Schools Foundation has announced its inaugural scholarship for Northshore School District (NSD) Junior or Senior level students.

A junior or senior from Secondary Academy of Success, Bothell, Inglemoor or Woodinville High Schools who can best demonstrate how Foundation-funded programs have made a meaningful impact on their life will be awarded $1,500. A selection committee of Foundation volunteers will interview the top applicants. The scholarship winner will also be the featured speaker at the upcoming All in for Kids Luncheon, to be held on April 7 at the Lynnwood Convention center.

The Northshore Schools Foundation has been awarding grants since 1996 impacting students individually on an average of eighteen times during their school career. The scholarship is an opportunity to showcase those students who have seen a positive impact on their life as a result of foundation funded programs or teacher training. Applicants can download the scholarship application and determine what grants have affected their lives by visiting the Foundation website at www.NorthshoreSchoolsFoundation.org.

“We have been tracking our impact on students, and what we see is truly a journey that students take with the Foundation, throughout their school career,” said Northshore Schools Foundation Executive Director Carmin Dalziel. “Every student’s journey is different; however the diversity and district wide nature of Foundation funding insures that all students see the benefits. We are excited to hear the student perspective and how they feel the Foundation has supported them through their experience in the Northshore School District.”
