Nacel Open Door, founded in 1957, has provided for thousands of international junior-high and high-school students from France, Spain, China and Japan to experience American life and culture. Now Nacel’s program is being expanded to include the Seattle area, beginning in Bothell.

Hosted in American families, the students participate in English as a second language classes and daily excursions around the area by day, and share family life with host families by night. From July 13-27, 24 students from China will arrive in Seattle for the program.

Host families are being sought now in the Bothell area for the 24 students.  Not only can families learn first-hand about another culture but can also help a student learn and experience the real American culture.

For more information, interested families may contact the local Nacel Open Door representative, John Shipman, by phone at (206) 734-9192 or e-mail at sitco33@yahoo.com. Also, visit www.nacelopendoor.org.
