The police blotter feature is both a description of a small selection of police incidents and a statistical roundup of all calls to the King County Sheriff’s Office that are dispatched to on-duty police officers. The blotter is not intended to be representative of all police calls originating in the Northshore area.
Dec. 25
A suspect was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol near the 6300 block of NE Bothell Way. He was driving with a blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.146; the legal limit is 0.08.
Dec. 26
A family disturbance was reported in the Rite Aid at 18022 68th Ave. NE. One of the subjects was intoxicated when the argument began. No arrests were made.
Dec. 29
An abandoned vehicle was impounded near Jim’s Northgate for parking in public right of way. There had been a 24 hour notice before the car was towed.
A suspect, who had a confirmed domestic violence felony warrant, was arrested at the Timbers Apartments and booked into the King County Jail (KCJ).
A suspect was arrested for violating a no contact court order. The suspect was arrested at the Timbers Apartments and booked into KCJ without incident.
A victim along the 18200 block of 64th Avenue NE reported that an unknown suspect had slashed the tires on his truck while it was parked in the driveway.
A 68 year-old female was found deceased in her apartment in Kenmore, near the 7300 block of NE 170th Street. The cause of death is unknown, the medical examiner declined to autopsy and the remains were released to family.
Dec. 30
A person with severe mental illness was bothering customers at the Safeway on Northeast Bothell Way.
A citizen turned in found property to the Kenmore Police Department, which then attempted to contact the owner but was unable to connect. The property was found at Rhododendron Park in kenmore and was booked into the Kenmore Police Deaprtment evidence locker.
A suspicious person was reported by an employee at Tully’s on Northeast Bothell Way. The person was acting strange and made the employee feel uncomfortable.
A 19 year-old male was reported for stalking and harassing a 15 year-old female neighbor near the 6400 block of NE 153rd Street.
Dec. 31
A male was arrested near the 7200 block of NE 153rd street for violation of the uniform controlled substances act (VUCSA), a VUSCA related warrant and a misdemeanor warrant.
A person with mental complaints was reported near Salon Sport on Juanita Drive Northeast. The person was underdressed for the weather and didn’t know where he was or how he got there. The male was sent to EvergreenHealth hospital via ambulance for a mental health evaluation.
A 66-year-old male was found dead in his residence near the 1600 block of 81st Place NE. The apparent cause of death was natural causes.
A suspect was pulled over near the 7300 block of NE Bothell Way for driving with a revoked or suspended license but was released at the scene.
A driver was pulled over near the intersection of Northeast 190th Street and 68th Ave. Northeast and cited for driving with a revoked or suspended license, for having no insurance and for having altered tabs. They were released at their residence.
Jan. 1
A citizen’s vehicle was entered, near the 1600 block of 76th Place NE, and less than $250 of property was taken from the exterior of the vehicle.
Another vehicle along the 1600 block of 76th Place Northeast was broken into during the night. The victim’s GPS was missing but less than $250 in property was missing. The door to the car seems to have been pried open.
A victim near the 1500 block of 71st Ave. NE discovered that her vehicle was broken into and listed items, over $250 in value, that were taken. The victim had left her doors unlocked.
A suspect was arrested for an outstanding felony warrant with Seattle Police Department and was booked into the KCJ.
A vehicle accident was reported in the parking lot of Safeway on Northeast Bothell Way. No injuries were reported.
A suspect was arrested near the 2500 block of S. Meridian for driving while under the influence, driving with a suspended or revoked license and making false statements about her identity (she was using her sister’s name).
Jan. 2
Two people were reported for disorderly conduct at The Timbers Apartments. The two were brother/sister in-laws. According to incident reports, the two were ‘highly intoxicated’ and yelling threats to others very loudly.
Officers were dispatched to a welfare status check at the Heron View Apartments after workers at a hospital noticed bruising on the victim during a follow up visit.
Jan. 3
A suspect was pulled over near the intersection of Northeast 193rd Street and 61st Avenue Northeast for driving with a revoked or suspended license.
A victim, her son, her son’s girlfriend and her husband were home, near the 6400 block of NE 153rd, when the victim found some things that she wasn’t pleased about. She approached her son and things got out of hand, he took a swing at her with his fist. The son was arrested for assault in the fourth degree.
A heroin overdose was reported at the Kenmore Inn Motel at 8202 NE Bothell Way. The victim was transported to EvergreenHealth hospital.
A suspect was pulled over near the intersection of Northeast Bothell Way and 83rd Place and found to be driving with a suspended or revoked license. The person was released at the scene.
Jan. 4
A person returned to their vehicle, which was parked at the Northlake Lutheran Church at 6650 NE 185th St, to discover that her car had been entered and less than $250 in property was taken. There was no apparent damage to the vehicle as entry was made through the driver-side door. Though the victim had locked her doors, the door was unlocked upon return.
A suspect was arrested near the intersection of Northeast 190th Street and 73rd Avenue Northeast for failing to transfer vehicle title within 45 days.
A person at the Northlake Grove Apartments reported a vehicle break-in. The unknown suspect entered the vehicle and rummaged through the passenger compartment and stole items from the trunk.
A suspicious male scared a barista at the Dulce Vitta Espresso stand. She felt she was going to be robbed so called authorities.
A bicycle was stolen from an apartment complex stairwell near the 1700 block of 80th Court NE.
Tools were stolen from a residential shed near the 7000 block of NE 175th.
A stolen vehicle was recovered from the Everett Police Department. The registered owner had reported it stolen and never took the car out of the system when the vehicle was sold.
Jan. 5
A person was arrested for assault in the fourth degree for assault against her boyfriend, and victim in this case. The suspect was booked into South Correctional Entity (SCORE) Jail.
A burglary was reported at a vacant home that is for sale. The house had the rear door kicked in.
A person reported fraud against a senior citizen near the 16900 block of Inglewood Road. The person who reported the incident didn’t know if it was a real scam, but called the police anyways.
A person was pulled over near the intersection of SR 522 and 62nd Avenue Northeast for driving with a revoked or suspended license.
