A number of organizations, including the city of Bothell, the Northshore Senior Center, Hopelink and the Northshore YMCA, are sponsoring what’s advertised as a community discussion, “Mobilizing to Meet Human Needs,” from 8 a.m. to noon June 18 in Mobius Hall at Cascadia Community College.
Planners say the event is aimed at residents in Bothell, Kenmore, Woodinville and Mill Creek. Those same planners say they hope to build awareness of human-service needs by specifically identifying those needs and the available resources, among other issues.
“This is the right time to come together to find local solutions and mobilize efforts to benefit our community,” said Bob Drewel, executive director of the Puget Sound Regional Council and master of ceremonies for the morning.
One focus of the gathering likely will be a “Report from the Frontline” to be presented by the North Urban Human Services Alliance.
That report will be followed by discussion groups. Cascadia College President William Christopher will host the event.
Registration for the morning is required. Attendees can register here or call (425) 374-5570. Campus parking will be free for attendees.
