Melissa McGinn, botanist with In Harmony Sustainable Landscapes and president of Sustainable Bothell, will speak about natural pesticides at 10 a.m. Aug. 28 at The Three Gardens open house at Bothell United Methodist Church. The event will run until noon.
The gardens are located at 18515 92nd Ave. N.E., directly north of Bothell High. They include the Bothell Children’s Garden, the Farmer Brown’s Garden (the church’s food-bank garden) and the Grace Community Garden, the church’s pea-patch garden, which is open to the public. Washington State University master gardeners will be on hand to answer questions/demonstrate organic gardening techniques and lead tours of the gardens.
