Locals help soldiers with used cell phones, Haitians with earthquake relief

Liberty Tax Service, 7016 N.E. Bothell Way, Suite 102, in Kenmore will host a roadside party to collect used cell phones for soldiers and Haiti relief from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 20.

Pawn X-Change, Jet City Pizza, Espresso Works, Wise Locksmith and State Farm Insurance will also be involved.

Their goal is to have 100 phones and $5,000 in donations. Local businesses and Liberty Tax Service will provide free food and refreshments. There will be face painting for kids, giveaways and more.
