Local families can take part in exchange program

Bothell and Kenmore residents have the opportunity to participate in an internationally renowned cultural-exchange program. Both American students and host families are provided this chance through the Center for Cultural Interchange (CCI). CCI is a nonprofit student-exchange program for secondary-level students from more than 65 countries worldwide. CCI is dedicated to the promotion of cultural understanding, academic development, environmental consciousness and world peace.

The students arrive to their host country and family shortly before school begins and return at the end of the school year. Each CCI student is fully insured for accident, health and liability, brings his or her own spending money and expects to assume a share of household responsibilities.

CCI is designated by the United States Department of State as an exchange program sponsor.
