Incumbent Julia Lacey holds a commanding 49 percent of the vote in the primary race for Northshore School District Director No. 1, according to early results from King County Elections Tuesday night.
Lacey leads Kimberly D’Angelo, who has 31 percent of the vote and received a late endorsement from State Sen. Rosemary McAuliffe.
The third candidate in the race, Marci Cheesebrough, has 18 percent of the vote with the top two candidates advancing to the general election in November.
Primary election results will be certified by Aug. 20. The Reporter will update the results when new returns are released by King County Elections.
