Kretschmer releases fiction ‘Apple’ novel

Former Bothell resident Gayle Kretschmer has released her fiction novel, “An Apple for the Teacher,” through Publish America.

The author, writing under the name J. Gayle Kelly, and her husband, Bill, reside in Fernley, Nev.

The novel is set in the Wenatchee and Leavenworth area and weaves a romantic tale around a new high-school principal and female teacher hired to coach a male basketball team.

It is her second novel for Publish America, the first being “The Watermelon Patch,” a coming-of-age mystery set in 1950s rural Nevada.
