University of Washington, Bothell student Noreen Refai has been awarded the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of King County Scholarship for 2011-12. The insurance association has been awarding scholarships to deserving students since 2001.
“I am thrilled to be named as the recipient of this prestigious scholarship,” says Refai. “The previous honorees have all turned out to be very successful students. So the scholarship is both a distinction and a key factor in my ability to stay in college.”
Refai is a junior majoring in business. She is on track to graduate in 2013. In her freshman year, Refai and a fellow student placed first in state in a collegiate international marketing competition.
