A 10-year veteran of the King County Sheriff’s Office was arrested at his Bothell home on Monday morning and booked on several charges, including investigation of theft, possession of stolen property, tampering and possession of a controlled substance.
The 33-year-old deputy, who resigned in lieu of termination on July 9, was arrested around 10 a.m. The arrest came out of an unrelated internal investigation conducted by the Sheriff’s Office into allegations the deputy was using government computer systems to access information contrary to policy.
No charges have yet been filed as the investigation is ongoing. He is currently being held at the King County Jail.
His bail hearing is set for 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the King County Courthouse.
