The “Kids Bowl Free” tour bus, which will travel more than 14,000 miles in a five-week span to kick off the nationwide program that provides kids with two free games of bowling all summer long, visited Kenmore Lanes today.
Darin Spindler, the national coordinator of Kids Bowl Free, and Professional Bowlers’ Association 15-time regional tour champion Mitch Beasley of Puyallup answered questions about the program.
In addition, Kenmore Lanes league bowlers raised $1,051 and donated a check to the Northshore School District Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) today. The money will go toward the PTA’s Higher Education Scholarship Fund — four high-schoolers from Bothell, Inglemoor, Woodinville and the Secondary Academy for Success will receive $1,000 scholarships this year.
Kenmore Lanes is located at 7638 Northeast Bothell Way in Kenmore. For more information or to register a child for ‘Kids Bowl Free’ visit www.kidsbowlfree.com/kenmore.
