Former Kenmore resident Amy Sturm and Kent Embleton were married July 23 at Northshore Baptist Church in Kirkland. Kent’s pastor, Duane Smith of Delaware, officiated. The bride’s grandfather read scripture from Ephesians 5 and the groom’s father led the congregation in singing “Great is Thy Faithfulness.” The bride carried a bouquet of purple, lavender and pink sweet peas.
The bride was a 2008 graduate of Cedar Park Christian School and is currently enrolled at LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas, majoring in math secondary education.
The groom is originally from Harrington, Del., and is a 2008 graduate of Delmarva Christian High. He also attends LeTourneau University, majoring in missionary aviation. In addition to his studies, he is currently employed as a flight instructor for the university.
The couple resides in Longview. After graduation in 2012, they hope to use their skills to serve overseas in mission aviation and education.
