The Church of the Redeemer in Kenmore announced Sunday that Rev. Jedediah “Jed” Fox will be Episcopal Church’s new rector as of Jan. 1, 2015.

Fox was born and raised in Helena, Mont. He grew up attending St. Peter’s Cathedral in Helena and it was there, during college, that he discerned a call to the priesthood.

After graduating from Carroll College in Helena, Jed and his wife, Mary Beth Jäger, moved to New York City so that Fox could attend the General Theological Seminary. Since his graduation from seminary in 2009, Fox has been the curate and assistant to the rector of the Church of St. Michael and St. George in St. Louis. They have a son, Jaeger, who was born on Sept. 10, 2014.

“When he’s not having fun with Mary Beth and Jaeger, Jed hopes to get ready for a half Ironman triathlon this year and to finish rehabbing a rocking chair for Jaeger,” Senior Warden of Church of the Redeemer said.
