Kenmore student receives Eastern Washington University scholarship

Brian Monson of Kenmore has been awarded $2,500 through the Presidents Scholarship for the 2011-12 academic year at Eastern Washington University. This scholarship is awarded to high-school students with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.8 or higher or a SAT score of 1,250 or higher.

Monson is a senior at Inglemoor High, where he has participated in track and field, cross country, marching band and concert band

He plans to attend Eastern in the fall where he will be majoring in film.
