Kenmore Sheriff’s Blotter: Too much booze, burglaries

Between Jan. 1 and Jan. 11, two thefts (including identity theft and fraud) occurred along with one assault, one DUI, three burglaries, four counts of drunkenness, five cases of driving without a license, two cases of trespass, a possible elder neglect case and one case each of threats being made and vandalism.

The blotter feature is both a description of a small selection of police incidents and a statistical roundup of all calls to the King County Sheriff’s Office that are dispatched to on-duty police officers. The King County Sheriff’s Office blotter is not intended to be representative of all police calls originating in Kenmore.

Jan. 4

Someone threw a rock through a double paned window in the 9000 block of Northeast 152 place, causing more than $1,500 in damages.

An unknown suspect tried to scam an elderly couple by asking them to transfer money.

 

Jan. 5

A man was found in a cul-de-sac in the 6600 block of Northeast 153 Place with a flat tire and was taken to Evergreen Hospital by paramedics to detox from alcohol. Police allege the suspect told them he was traveling from SeaTac airport to Kent, but ended up in Kenmore.

A driving without a license citation was issued in the 7300 block of Northeast Bothell Way.

A man was arrested after a residential burglary investigation in the 8000 block of Northeast 179 Place.

After repeatedly coming into a neighbors yard in the 7600 block of Northeast 197 Court without permission, a man was given a trespass notice by the Sheriff’s office.

 

Jan. 6

A citation for driving without a license was issued to a driver along Northeast Bothell Way. The suspect also had two non-extradition misdemeanor warrants from Pierce County and was not arrested.

 

Jan. 7

A driving without a license citation was issued along Northeast 190 Street.

 

Jan. 8

Another driving without a license citation was issued along Northeast Bothell Way.

After stumbling into the bus lane in the 6800 block of Northeast Bothell Way, a man was taken to Evergreen Hospital for detox. Police said he had a blood-alcohol-content of .318.

A possible case of elder neglect was reported in the 7000 block of Northeast 175 Street.

Two residents of the Tahoma Hills in the 19000 block of 73 Avenue Northeast were assaulted by a suspect with mental disabilities multiple times last year.

 

Jan. 9

A man was arrested on an intoxicated driving charge along Northeast Bothell Way.

After a man refused to pick up his brother from the Copper Lantern Apartments, the brother made vague threats against him, though the man doesn’t think his brother would carry them out.

After drinking too much, a woman is taken from a house to a hospital for detox.

 

Jan. 10

A man was stopped for driving with expired tabs and issued a citation for driving without a valid license.

Plywood and a canvas tool bag were taken from a garage, but left outside in the 19500 block of 76 Avenue Northeast.

 

Jan. 11

A man lost his tax return to a fraud.

Several packages containing wallets, credit cards and keys were left at the front desk of Kenmore City Hall.

After burglarizing into one home by breaking a window, a suspect was arrested next door after he broke into a second house in the same manner in the 8000 block of Northeast 179 Place.

A man was drunk in the Bothell Way Gasco and was taken to Evergreen Hospital for detox.

Someone took a changing table that had free items on it from outside a front door, police marked it down as a civil problem.

A man was given a trespass notice from Best Friends Espresso.
