A group of Kenmore Junior High students will be holding a garage sale to support cancer research from about 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 9-10 in the Meadowcreek Park neighborhood off 14th Avenue in Bothell.

When one of the students’ friend’s mother died of cancer, they banded together to form two teams set to participate in the upcoming American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Northshore event May 21-22 at Skyview Junior High.

They have already raised more than $5,000 toward cancer research, and are hoping to reach at least $8,000 or more.
