Men and women age 55 or older who have made New Year’s resolutions to improve or sustain their fitness levels can join the Enhance Fitness Program in Kenmore.

Specially designed and tested for mature participants, Enhance Fitness classes are led by a trained instructor and consist of activities such as stretching, low-impact aerobics, strength training and balance. Enhance Fitness is designed to be safe for seniors who may be out of practice exercising, and challenging enough for more active participants. The three-times-a-week, hour-long program meets at 9 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, 6211 N.E. 182nd St.

Group Health Medicare Advantage enrollees can join the classes for free. Members of the Northshore Senior Center (if not enrolled in Group Health) pay $24 per month. Participants unaffiliated with either the Northshore Senior Center or Group Health pay $36 per month.

For information, call Bob Bell, Kenmore class leader, at (425) 486-5049 or the Kenmore branch of the Northshore Senior Center at (425) 489-0707.
