The 11th annual Kenmore Arts Show takes place Aug. 22-30 at Northlake Lutheran Church, 6620 N.E. 185th St.

The Arts of Kenmore is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to encourage and promote both passive and active participation in the arts.

The Artist Preview and Awards Ceremony will be from 6-8 p.m. Aug. 21. The show will be open to the public from 2:30-8:30 p.m. Aug. 22-30 with entertainment each evening at 7 p.m.

The show will have four categories: painting, drawing, etc.; sculpture; artisan works; and photography, plus a Student Sculpture Award. Awards totaling $3,500 plus numerous place and honorable-mention ribbons will be presented. The city of Kenmore began awarding a $500 Purchase Award in 2005.
