The Kenmore Arts Show prospectus is now available online at www.artsofkenmore.org.

The 11th annual show will take place Aug. 22-30 at Northlake Lutheran Church, 6620 N.E. 185th St. Entries are due from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 14.

The Arts of Kenmore is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to encourage and promote both passive and active participation in the arts by the citizens of the area for the enrichment of the community.

The Artist Preview and Awards Ceremony will be from 6-8 p.m. Aug. 21. The show will be open to the public from 2:30-8:30 p.m. Aug. 22-30 with entertainment each evening at 7 p.m.

The show will have four categories: painting, drawing, etc.; sculpture; artisan works; and photography, plus a Student Sculpture Award sponsored by the Northwest Stone Sculptors Association. Awards totaling $3,500 plus numerous place and honorable-mention ribbons will be presented. The city of Kenmore began awarding their own $500 Purchase Award in 2005 and for the last two years combined their award with the art show’s. Two $1,000 items have been purchased for the city with the combined funds.
