Investigators return to Kenmore home in search of missing mother of two

After receiving a new tip, investigators from the King County Sheriff’s Office returned Thursday morning to a property along the Kenmore-Kirkland boundary to search for the remains of a woman who had disappeared nearly a year ago.

Det. Jessica Santos with the sheriff’s office said they received new information about Jamie Haggard, 27, of Kenmore, who was reported missing on June 17, 2016. While they had previously dug up one area of the property — which is located in the 8200 block of Northeast 145th street in Kenmore — in July 2016, Santos said they were told Haggard’s body was in a different location of the large backyard.

Stressing the important role the community plays in helping law enforcement find Haggard, Santos said investigators believe someone out there has information about what happened to the Kenmore mother of two, which is why they are following every tip they receive regarding this very active case.

After spending most of Thursday morning at the Kenmore property, Santos said they had not found any remains.

As previously reported, the last contact Haggard had with her family was June 8, 2016.

“We presume that she’s probably, unfortunately, deceased,” Santos said.

She said they believe this because has been no activity — such as cell phone, online, banking or credit card activity — since that last contact to indicate that she is still alive. Santos added that prior her disappearance, Haggard called and spoke with her mother regularly.

If anyone has any information about Haggard’s disappearance, they are asked to call (206) 296-3311.

“Anything that we can keep this case going with,” Santos said.
