The following is a release from the Washington State Department of Transportation:
Nighttime and early morning travelers on Interstate 405 between downtown Bellevue and Bothell should prepare for possible delays overnight Thursday. Single-lane closures in selected areas may cause some slowdowns on the mainline and drivers and will need to follow detours for some ramps.
WSDOT has adjusted closure start times and locations to minimize possible delays for fans heading to and from tonight’s Seahawks preseason home game against the Dallas Cowboys.
Contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will close the following lanes and ramps Thursday night, Aug. 25, to install maintenance guide markers and roadside signs and complete bridge repair work:
Ramps:
- The southbound I-405 off-ramp to Northeast 6th Street will be closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- The Northeast 8th Street on-ramp to northbound I-405 will be closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- The Northeast 160th Street on-ramp to SR 522 will be closed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- The northbound I-405 ramp to southbound I-5 will be closed from 11:59 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Lanes:
- One left lane of southbound I-405 from the Northeast 6th Street off-ramp to the Northeast 6th Street overpass will be closed from 11:59 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
- One right lane of southbound I-405 between Northeast 8th Street and SR 520 will be closed from 11:59 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
- One left lane of southbound I-405 between Northeast 128th Street and Northeast 116th Street will be closed from 8 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
- One left lane of northbound I-405 between SR 527 and I-5 will be closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
These activities are part of final construction work for the I-405 Bellevue to Lynnwood Widening and Express Toll Lanes project.
This work is weather dependent and is subject to change. Signed detour routes will be displayed for the ramp closures.
