Hollywood Schoolhouse to celebrate 100th anniversary

The famous Hollywood Schoolhouse, located in the heart of Woodinville's wine country, is set to celebrate its 100th anniversary on Sept. 28. The building, which opened in 1912, has been designated as a State and King County Historic Landmark.

The Schoolhouse will invite the public for a historic tour on Sept. 28 from noon-4 p.m.

The afternoon will consist of wine tasting, a vintage car show, and entertainment. The first 100 guests to arrive will receive a gift to commemorate the special anniversary.

Additionally, the venue is offering a special gift to the first 100 brides who bring a photo of their wedding at the Schoolhouse to post on the memory board.

Rosemary and Jim McAuliffe, the owners since 1977, will be there to share the history of the famed building, which has served as a school, auction house and the Sammamish Valley Grange Hall, with community members.

Hollywood Schoolhouse is located at 14810 N.E. 145th St. in Woodinville.
