Due to her business’ support of Woodin Elementary in Bothell and other Seattle-area schools, Andrea Heuston, CEO and creative principal of Artitudes Design Inc., has won a Stevie Award for Women in Business for “Community Involvement Program of the Year.”
The international competition recognizes the accomplishments of outstanding women executives, entrepreneurs and the organizations they run. The awards are produced by the creators of the prestigious American Business AwardsSM, and the gala event took place Nov. 12 at New York’s Marriott Marquis Hotel.
Heuston and Artitudes Design’s “Artitudes in Action: Art Docent Campaign” provides arts education to K-6 students in the Seattle area. The campaign has reached more than 500 students at several local schools since it began in 2007 and gives Artitudes’ employees the opportunity to volunteer and give back to the community with something they are passionate about — art.
Heuston said, “Artitudes is honored to have won this prestigious award and to be among other women who are also passionate about the betterment of their companies, employees and communities.”
