Senior living facility Aegis of Bothell will host a series of healthy aging free workshops with experts in brain health.
The first event will be held at 6 p.m. on March 26 titled “Knowing the signs your parent needs help” presented by Kathy Stewart, R.N., B.S.N. with more than 30 years of experience and author of the popular book “Mom’s losing her memory; I’m losing my mind” the first 10 people to RSVP will also receive an autographed copy of Kathy’s book.
The second event will be held at 6 p.m. on April 15 titled “What is Alzheimer’s disease and what is normal aging?” presented by Dr. Jane Tornatore a therapist and local speaker in many dementia and brain health issues.
The third event will be held at 6 p.m. April 29 titled “Making the most of your brain” presented by Terri Gilbert, Ph.D. an application scientist with the Allen Institute for Brain Science.
