Western Washington University student Andrew Grove, son of Larry and Melanie Grove of Bothell, received a $1,588 Elias Austin Bond Technology Scholarship for the 2010-2011 academic year.
The Elias Austin Bond Scholarship was established in memory of a WWU professor. It is awarded to upper-division undergraduate students involved in the Vehicle Research Institute of the Engineering Technology Department.
Grove has earned a 3.04 grade-point average and is planning to graduate in 2012 with a degree in plastics engineering technology.
Grove participated in WWU’s Formula SAE vehicle racing club.
