Foggy Noggin Brewing created a new house ale, boasting it to be the most unique ale on the market.
On Feb. 15, Foggy Noggin is releasing the first three batches in their tasting room. After that, another batch will be released every two weeks for a limited time, only available in the tasting room.
The ale is fermented in Hungarian Oak barrels with a perpetual yeast. It has Maris Otter, Amber, Biscuit, Crystal 45 malts and Brewers Gold, Fuggles, Goldings hops.
We had a Hungarian Oak barrel made to our specifications, with oak sourced from the Zemplen Forrest, which is some of the most sought after wood in the world,” said a Foggy Noggin spokesperson.”Using an ale yeast strain yeast that works best when it is able to not only top ferment, but also from all portions of the fermenter; a whole new character is brought to life.”
Each batch is bottled and marked with the batch number. Approximately 80 bottles per batch make this exclusive.
Foggy Noggin Brewing is located at 22329 53rd Ave. SE in Bothell.
