Daniel Nelon of Veraci Pizza of Ballard checks the pizza he’s making in a wood-fired oven in the Blyth parking lot. Nelon and his co-workers Aric Fehrenbacher and Elena Arntz were at the park to cater a business party. Nelon said he had the oven firing at 1,000 degrees for most of the day, taking it down to about 700 toward the end.
